America II launches major new portfolio of 'value-add' services, including design, failure analysis, prototyping and PCB manufacturing
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla - October 20, 2016 -- America II Electronics Inc., one of the world’s largest distributors of semiconductors and electronic components, today announced that it is moving into the second phase of its evolution with the launch of a radically expanded portfolio of programs and services. These new services, which will complement America II’s core distribution business, include product design, custom product manufacturing, factory level failure analysis, and PCB design & manufacturing.
Within the last two years America II has expanded its presence in mainland Europe, opened a Hong Kong distribution center, and developed a major e-commerce system which is currently in its test phase. Importantly, America II has also significantly increased the number of global franchise and direct manufacturer lines it offers, now over 400, allowing it to deliver a greater amount of reliable, scheduled business to its customers.
As America II moves into the next phase of development, it has chosen to respond to increasing demand amongst its customers for a richer blend of value-add services, as well as a growing opportunity to attain a wide number of mutually-beneficial partner relationships to derive maximum value for its customers.
“Anyone who has kept track of America II's activities knows that it is not a company that shies away from adapting to provide a better service,” said Brian Ellison, president at America II Electronics. “Over the past two years it has become increasingly clear that many of our customers can gain considerable additional value from access to a broader portfolio of services. Traditionally such services have only been available through the biggest tier one distributors, and have remained frustratingly out of the reach of many smaller and 'mid tier' companies. That changes today with the launch of America II’s expanded programs and services portfolio."
America II has successfully field-tested its new portfolio of programs and services with a number of customers behind the scenes across 2015 and 2016. As a result, America II is coming to market with a portfolio of services that is not only credible but well-proven.
"America II is now unique in the market as the only distributor to offer such a broad portfolio of services at a price suited to all customer sizes, with a particular advantage offered to mid-tier customers. We are confident that this is going to fundamentally change OEMs' expectations of what distribution can do for them," said Ellison.
America II’s expanded portfolio divides into six broad strands; Supply Chain Program Solutions, Sourcing Programs and Solutions, PPV (Material Cost Reduction Program) Solutions, Inventory Asset Recovery Management, Franchise Line Custom Solutions and Extended Value Added Solutions.
America II will announce further details regarding each service strand within the coming months, and will make early details available exclusively by interview at Electronica in Munich, November 8th-11th.
